Sophomore year is a totally different experience from freshman year. We're all aware of it. We felt it the minute we stepped on campus. It feels like we belong here this year like we actually know what we're doing. That feeling is pretty much the best. But it's also a lot more stressful. If our favorite Office characters could explain sophomore year, I get the feeling that this is how they might do it...
1. Eating in the dining hall as a sophomore.
You already know it's bad, but you also know you have to eat it. That meal plan just won't be worth it otherwise.
2. The first day of class as a sophomore.
You've learned to lower your expectations, if only a little bit. It's not that you're not trying, but you've discovered you don't HAVE to be the smartest person in all of your classes any more. You can sit back and learn from others too.
3. Making decisions as a sophomore.
This one is more a wish we have for ourselves. We hope that being one year older and one year wiser, we can finally understand enough to question our actions a little bit. At least we're aware of the need to do so?
4. Coming back to your college town for sophomore year.
Sure, it's no electric city, but it is "dope and pretty". You're so happy to be back, you might just write a rap about it.
5. When someone asks something on the syllabus as a sophomore.
Get your act together people. Can't you read?
6. Reuniting with all your college friends as a sophomore.
Head to YoPo for the perfect day...
Miraculously, three weeks in, we're all still happy to be here. Check back with us after midterms start....
