Have you ever heard a song on the radio and thought, "this is such a Monday song! It just describes Mondays perfectly!" Or, "this song is SO ME on Fridays!"
Imagine if each day of the week had its own personal ringtone. Each day, that particular song would start playing.
Better yet, each time you mentioned a certain day, a certain song would go off…like a ringtone.
Sunday
It’s the last day to be free until the week starts all over again. Might as well have fun because you don’t have to worry about anything until tomorrow.
You don’t have to be you 'til tomorrow, right? Yeah, “I don’t have to me ‘till Monday. Friday, Saturday, Sunday. I ain’t gonna face reality.”
Monday
Let’s be real, most Mondays are the worst.
You’re trying to recover from the weekend, so you grab some coffee. On your way out the door, someone bumps into you and your coffee spills all over you.
At the end of the day, all you can think is, “you had a bad day,” so “you sing a sad song just to turn it around…”
Tuesday
This is the day of the week where you think, "OK, I’m going to get my life together and make this a good week."
This plan goes great until you’re stuck sitting in traffic. You think to yourself, “Ugh I have to do this for three more days.”
People start honking their horns because they’re getting impatient and you think, “Now I’m fourfive seconds from wildin’ and we got three more days ‘til Friday…”
Wednesday
The middle of the week can be such a drag…literally.
You find yourself “all day, staring at the ceiling.” You might even feel a “breakdown” coming on, “but I’m not crazy, I’m just a little unwell.”
Thursday
We are almost at the end of the week here. We are so close now, and there’s no turning back. Tomorrow is Friday and the weekend begins.
Did you doubt you would make it to Thursday? Well, “oh no, not I! I will survive!”
Friday
It’s finally the end of the week. You’re sitting in class or sitting at work watching the clock. Time is passing by so slow. You’re ready to “call it a day” even though “it’s only half-past twelve.”
But who cares? “It’s five o’clock somewhere.”
Saturday
It’s the day you’ve been waiting for all week. It’s time to do whatever you want because it’s Saturday!
That’s right “it’s time to begin, isn’t it?” It’s time to begin the weekend.
