OK, so I know that the title may be a bit late in the game, but can we just talk about this beautiful spring weather we have been having as of late? At least for me down south from the university, approximately an hour and a half, distance learning has its perks. There is just something about the fresh, crisp air and the showers that accompany the month of April that whisper the word "spring" in the ever listening ear. So in an attempt to really show you guys how much I love this season, I have a few points to make to further exemplify my passion for this wonderful time of year...
1. Those pastels though
So while I would never wear them myself, I love looking at all of the spring colors that come out on the fashion market, especially baby clothes. Have you seen all of the Mother's Day outfits at Target? Can you say lovely? Every time I see these little kids dressed in their little sundresses or board shorts, my heart just gives a bit, and I automatically rush to go shop with my now 10 month old (imagine my excitement).
2. Spring drinks at Starbucks
So I am a coffee lover, and I frequent the Starbucks in our local Target weekly. At our location, they have barista wars where the employees compete with one another to introduce new, original drinks to us consumers, and man do they do an awesome job. Lemonberry Breeze? Um, yes, please. I am such a sucker for refreshing drinks especially in this spring weather. Hand me something fruity and a pair of sunglasses, and I am down for some fun.
3. The fact that sweater weather is slowly ending
Don't get me wrong, I love a good sweater. I have around 10 different ones that range from long cardigans to ugly Christmas sweaters, but there is just something nice about shedding some layers in exchange for a floral skirt and tank top. However, I am that person who will probably be caught in the dead of summer wearing my mom's school sweater, so don't trust that I will completely abandon my winter garb.
So while all of these points are valid for my reason to love springtime, that is not to say that I don't like other seasons. Fall is full of lots of coffee and autumn colors and winter even has its charms with a few snowmen speckling the landscape, but something about spring, man. It is literally my favorite, hands down, and I can only pray that some of you love it as much as I do.
