society says if you don't look a certain way you are fat

society says if you don't wear a certain type of clothing you are not "sexy"

society says if you aren't a "partier" or drink before you are 21 you are not cool

society says if you do not have a bunch of likes or followers on social media you are not "popular"

society says if you do not have a boyfriend then you must be lonely

society says if you don't breastfeed your children or give them an all organic diet then you are doing it wrong

society says if you try all of these fad diets you will love yourself

society says if you have a lot of money and material things then you will be happy

society says that you should find a job that makes the most money not based on your love for the field you go into

society says you need plastic surgery if you do not like who you are

society intensifies the stereotype that only if you do this, or change that you will find happiness

What society says is the only way to truly love yourself is if you change to "fit in". Why fit in when you were born to stand out? Do not let the pressure of society and this generation derail your ambitions and goals for yourself. You are so much more worthy and loved than a fad diet, or than what you can portray your life as on social media.

If you take away one thing from this article, please know that you are not defined by society. You are worth more than any message of how you "should be". You are beautiful the way you are, remember that.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
