We have all seen it, the images of celebrities looking perfect. They are everywhere, they are on commercials, billboards, on social media. It is endless the amount of images people see of people who to them look "perfect."
Many other try to copy it by trying to find that "Get fit quickly" solution or some sort of diet. They also try to find the best solution for sin problems by trying to blend all of these different items to get the best skin. The real question is, does it create the perfect solution?
Body Image Dissatisfaction is something that is seen around the world with people who are the most active on social media. Many people are able to follow the people that they admire at the click of a button on any form of social media such as Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, etc.
It seems to me that this might be the problem right of the bat. I feel that people try to compare or make their lives similar to those of celebrities. Well, unless you have the photographers they do or the money they have, my answer to you is good luck!
BID is something that I feel needs to be more discussed. It is an issue that is facing young men and women across the world. With how connected we are today, it is not surprising that new issues with mental illness and other issues with people doing drastic things to change the look of their body.
I feel that people should not compare themselves to others, and I know a lot of you are saying, "Easier said than done!" Trust me I know. I compared myself to others all the time when I was very active on social media. Fast-forward to a year later, I am not as active on social media as I was before. I still use it, but I have significantly cut down my time on these sites.
I think that it is important that we all take a look inward and try to figure out what might be that voice is telling us that we are not good enough. The reason for that is because once we can figure out that voice then we are able to tell that voice that it is wrong!
Once we do that, then we are able to live out our full potential in life. The voices that tell us we are not good enough are the ones that are holding us back the most. Those voices must be stopped and we must prevail against the influx of negative energy and negative people.
