Identity is everything, even when we don’t realize it. Identity is everything. First impressions are crucial. People judge you at every turn. Have you ever questioned your worth, your importance, and your value?

I’m sure you have at some point or another. College is a breaking point for many souls. College is a weird time from not being a child anymore but not quite a full blown adult. You’re suddenly responsible for a ton of stuff, but you don’t have the power to control anything.

Blessed are the ones who can control and navigate the storm of life. Sometimes we get lost and we feel like all we’re doing is battling to stay up. It feels like a majority of my life at every turn. Scheduling never works in our favor and we’ve been looked over our entire lives until you make one wrong move and people don’t forget that.

Life is weird. We let people in who mean nothing to us in the long run, yet we tear up because of how those people hurt us. Walking away sometimes seems like so much to do but after reading an article about Selena Gomez and how she’s “ready to be forgotten”, I think we can gain a few lessons from it.

At the end of the day, your media is what you make it. If you let someone's highlights take your mind, then fine, but remember that someone’s highlights are just that. The funny thing is that it could happen to you also, your post could evict those same kinda feelings on others. “The surest way to lose your self-worth is by trying to find it through the eyes of others.”

Be passionate in things that make you happy, find joy in things that you hold in value, and don’t let that passion die inside of you. Of course, if you’re a pinterest lover such as I, then you’ve most likely read this before, but, “a flower doesn’t think about competing with the flower next to it, it just blooms.” So, stop looking at others and bloom, explode with your awesomeness, and let others see your love. And it's ironic because why would you waste your beautiful mind doing ugly things.

It takes a matter of minutes to change a perspective and your outlook. SO change it. SO be happy. SO stop making excuses. SO step outside of your comfort zone. SO take charge of your excuses. SO what are you waiting for?
