1. Oh, honey no.
My accent helps me make friends, and is a great conversion starter. “Where are you from.” “Oh, what is that near.” I really can't remember a time that someone didn't mock my accent, but at the same time tell me they love it.
2. HAYYYY, girl.
The friendly wave is my motto. I felt a deep connection with you over that one conversion we had. Yes, I’m hurt when you don’t wave back. I've had people wave at me before, that actually hated me. You just see those people so much, you feel obligated to wave.
3. "Do you want to get coffee like everyday, for the rest of our lives?"
Everything is exciting, the local Starbucks, to new interactions. I was only used to Lowes and Walmart. Don't get me wrong, my friends and I enjoyed people watching in Walmart just as much as Starbucks.
4. When in doubt, have lunch with a forever friend.
My hometown friends are my forever friends. We could not talk for months, fight, etc. I still know they will be there for me in the end.
5. I don't pay for my tire change, I just got that tight with the guy working.
Bill probably knows Carrie, who know your mom and you may get a discount on your next purchase. It's always nice to get things free just because you are probably close to one of their family members.
6. Football is everything and anything, right?
FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS BABY. I’m not even a big football fan but I still got so excited to watch my team with my friends. We live and breathe football where I grew up.
7. The mountains are a form of therapy
