When you belong to a certain club or attend a certain school, you can usually tell those particular people from others. Just like anywhere else, as a girl going to the University Of Oklahoma, most of us have a few things that make us stick out all over town, or as we call it, "Nompton". Here's a list of ten things that can let you spot an OU girl anywhere.

1. All The Baseball Hats

OU, Polo, New York Yankees, Carhartt; the list goes on and on. Baseball hats are perfect for if you've rolled out of bed to make it to class on time, or, if we're being honest, you are trying to stretch your four-day hair just twenty four more hours after you've stayed up too late studying or had one too many Swirls at The Mont the night before.

2. Cowboy Boots

You see about 5,000 pairs of these on campus corner during game days. Or you have the rest of us who discovered how much they kill your feet while you stand shoulder to shoulder in the student section that you gave up on them and they just sit in your closet. These days most people wear them dressed up to go to the games, or with a five size too big OU Football Jersey.

3. FTK Stickers

On laptops, stuck to water bottles, binders; anywhere you can think of you can probably find an FTK or "For The Kids" sticker stuck to something. "For The Kids" is a phrase that goes along with Soonerthon, which is the biggest fundraising event of the year. The event benefits the Children's Hospital in Oklahoma City! OU just made history for raising one million dollars for this cause. OU is FTK!

4. Windbreakers And OU Hoodies

If you are in a sorority, you've probably got a windbreaker with your letters on it. If you are in a club, you probably have sweatshirt with your club on it. If you don't have either, I can guarantee you have an OU sweatshirt or hoodie. Or if you don't have one of those, you have a windbreaker with your monogram on the front. All of these are great when you walk to class when it's seventy degrees and when you walk out of class in twenty degrees and pouring down rain. Welcome to Oklahoma!

5. A Parking Pass, Yours or someone else's

If you didn't pay the $250 to buy your own, you probably bought one from somebody that graduated, or you borrow one from your best friend Tammy's friends' boyfriend. But honestly, most of us find it near impossible to actually find a parking spot with said $250 dollar permit, so most of us just park at the Lloyd Noble Lot, only to have to wait in a huge line for a shuttle to get back to campus.

6. Those Free "GO OU" or "Boomer Sooner" Shirts

You probably got one when you toured campus, got them as a prize as a football game, or were given one at the campus life fair at the beginning of the semester. They are one of those things that you always seem to throw on with a pair of sweat when you practically just roll out of bed.

7. A Water Bottle Covered In Stickers

Camelbak, Contigo, HydroFlask, the list goes on and on. Chances are that whatever you have is covered in stickers from all kinds of random vacations, a restaurant you went, or of course, our favorite, redbubble.com.

8. Jumbo Size Teeshirts

Sororities and Frat Date Parties, Bid Day, Mom's Day, Dad's Day, Clubs, Camp Crimson; the list of organizations who do comfort colors teeshirts goes on and on. Even though you probably wear a small in a shirt, you definitely got that thing in extra giant. Why? because they are the best.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
