I've been single for the past 18 years of my life, but completely by choice. I guess you could also argue that I haven't been single by choice, but that's isn't the one I'm going with. For years, I have had tons of guys "hitting my line"... but they were never the ones I wanted. I was tired of all the guys at my school and I was even more tired of the private school boys near me.
This was when I turned to Tinder. With Tinder, I felt like I was completely in charge of my destiny. I could pick the guys that I wanted to talk to. But the best part was, I could talk to as many guys as I wanted to and none of them would know or even care.
Being single is fun.
The greatest part about being single is not having to owe someone anything. The whole point of "talking" to multiple guys at a time is too see what is out there and to see who makes your heart go *swoosh*. There are so many guys out there and you don't even notice. I'm a big fan of shooting your shot, so if there is someone you think is attractive go for it. I cannot stress this enough.
But, I'm tired of being a "player."
I've talked to more than five guys a month and I don't regret it. It was fun, self-determined, and easy to be a flirt. But, a part of me has always wanted something more. All of these guys were players, too, and I'm tired of always going in the same cycle with every single one of them.
Now, I want more and I want a guy that doesn't even know I exist.
Moral of the story, it's fun to be a player, until it's not.
