Some people naturally like to work out. If that’s the case, these next few tips might not be of any use to you. But for those who don’t like to work out, there is probably a long list of reasons why. It may be because you don’t like going to the gym or getting sweaty, or maybe because you don't have time enough time in your busy day, for a run on the treadmill.

If you find these reasons to be true, you may be avoiding a serious problem. While we all know working out is important for good health, finding time for the gym isn't always easy as college students. But what if you could do that same work out, in your home or apartment?

It's time to stop binge watching your Netflix shows and get up to start moving! You no longer have an excuse as to why you decided to skip the gym every day this semester.

Here are simple exercises you can do, without a big fancy gym:

Jumping Jacks:

Jumping jacks are a perfect warm up to your workout. Although you might end up annoying your neighbors downstairs, this exercise gets your heart pumping and your blood flowing!

Squats:

While there are many different squatting techniques, you can do this simple exercise with no equipment. All you do is: spread your feet apart, keep your back straight, and bend your knees until your thighs are parallel to the ground, all while maintaining good back posture.

Sit-ups:

Why waste your time going to the gym, to just sit on their floor when there's a perfectly good one underneath you? So lay your back on the ground, bend your legs with your feet flat on the ground, and SIT UP! It’s that simple.

Planking:

Get that toned stomach you have always wanted by doing a couple planking exercises. Planking is simple, but also one of the most challenging exercises for your body to endure. All you have to do is lay on the ground, then allow your forearms and the tips of your feet hold your body up.

Wall Sits:

Ah, the beloved wall sits. To do one, you just pretend you are sitting on a chair against a wall... except you forgot the chair. You have to hold your entire body up against the wall. This exercise helps strengthen your thigh muscles, as well as your calves.

And finally the best part: you can do ALL of these exercises AND more, in only seven minutes!

All you need to do is download the “7 Minute Workout ‘Seven’” app on your phone and you'll be good to go.

This app provides all of the workout exercises mentioned and more, in an interactive way. Simply press the “Start Workout” button to begin the workout system you have been searching for. And again, it's really that simple so why wait?

While there are plenty more exercises that can be done at home, these few will be a great start for your weekly routine. Also, finding an app to manage your workout routine and set daily reminders, is beneficial as well.

Let’s face it- you have probably never had a solid workout routine in the past. But now do yourself a favor by taking a seven minute study break to do this rewarding workout.

Trust me, you won't regret it afterward.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
