It's that time of years again. Spring is approaching and the time of music festivals and 2018 world tours will be here sooner than later. For those of us who go to concerts often, we have developed a bit of a guide for ourselves; The do's and don't's of concert going. Though concerts may be a natural thing for many, some people don't go to them very often. For those who fall int his category, here is a guide to help you love your concert experience.

1. Wear Comfortable Shoes

I know we all want to look cute for that moment when we lock eyes with the lead singer of our favorite band, but face it, chances are you will spend a majority of your time at this concert standing. That last thing you want is to spend your concert thinking about how badly your feet hurt.

2. Create A Budget

I know we all want to buy every Band tee and vinyl that we see. If we don't set a budget, we may do just that. Trust me, this will only lead to regret in the end. I hope you enjoy no food for the next week.

3. Bring Lots Of Water

Now I will warn you, some venues will not allow you to do this; However, most music festivals will, and that is where you will need it the most! Hydrate yourself so that you can enjoy your concert standing, not passed out on the ground.

4. Take As Little Into The Venue As Possible

Yeah, don't be that guy! Ticket, phone, car keys and a little cash; That's all you need. Find a small cross-body bag to carry these few items in and you are all set.

5. Prepare Yourself For Security Checks

Yes, you will have your bag checked. Yes, you will probably have to go through a metal detector. Be smart and be safe!

6. Don't Fight

I can not tell you the number of concerts I have been to where at least one fight broke loose. Remember you guys, you are all at the same concert to enjoy the same band! You're a fan community, love one another!

7. Dance

Enjoy yourself and let loose! You may never have this opportunity again.

8. Only Take A Couple Of Pictures

I know we all want a lot of pictures to remember the night, but the night itself will be a memory that you will never forget. A couple of pictures is plenty. Don't live through your camera. Live in the moment and embrace it!

9. Finally, Have Fun!

Now that you are ready for a night to remember, go make memories! Happy jamming!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
