Simone Biles Was ALSO Abused By Larry Nassar

Larry Nassar faces 60 years in prison on his child pornography charges alone, but we all know that he deserves to rot in prison for life.

Recently, 150+ victims have come forward to say that they at some point were sexually abused by USA Gymnastics doctor, Larry Nassar. He has not only pled guilty to these accusations but has also been charged with the possession of child pornography.

It is unfathomable to think that such a huge number of innocent girls were affected by just one sick monster and that USA Gymnastics so unapologetically kept this in the dark for so long.

USA Olympic gold medalist Aly Raisman was one of the many people who came forward about being abused by Nassar. She was told to keep quiet when she tried to come forward to USAG about the molestation.

Two of Raisman’s teammates from the 2012 Olympics, Gabby Douglas, and Mckayla Maroney were also some of the many women who came forward about being abused by Nassar in the #metoo movement.

Mckayla Maroney was just 13 when Nassar first molested her. Even though she has gone public about her story, she is currently facing a possible $100,000 fine by USAG if she speaks about it in court due to a non-disclosure agreement the USA Gymnastics made her sign saying she would keep quiet about the matter.

[ “Maroney also detailed what she said was the worst incident back in 2011 during a trip to Tokyo.

She claimed that on the way to the world championship that year Nassar gave her a sleeping pill, and then she awoke to find him performing a 'treatment' on her in the hotel.

'I thought I was going to die that night,' wrote Maroney.” –TheDailyMail.co.uk ]

As this story has made major headlines, it has gotten the attention of people like Chrissy Teigen and Kristen Bell who have said they are willing to pay this fine for Maroney.

Most recently, Simone Biles decided to put aside her anxieties and fears and come forward to say that she was also one of the many survivors of Larry Nassar's sexual abuse.

Part of her statement is as follows:

"For too long I have asked myself, 'Was I too naive? Was it my fault?' I now know the answers to those questions. No. No, it was not my fault. No, I will not and should not carry the guilt that belongs to Larry Nassar, USAG [USA Gymnastics], and others."

It seems that USA Gymnastics was more concerned with the well being of their own corporation rather than the well being of their hard-working athletes. The Indy Star even wrote an article about how they have a history of turning a blind eye to sexual abuse

We are lucky to have such brave people like Raisman, Maroney, Douglas, Biles, and others who have so much credibility when speaking out that can bring such an evil and drawn out crime to justice.

Hopefully, all 150 plus women who were willing to share their story will give courage to anyone who has or will possibly suffer from sexual abuse to come forward without shame or fear.

Sorry Larry Nassar, times up.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
