Silver giants touching the sky,
stretching above with a heart beat of steady paced working,
and the breath of life,
life flies by with the wink of an eye.
100 stories high,
tear drops fill the hudson river,
lives grasped and taken,
the lives we once knew were forsaken.
Light came from the darkest places,
angelic wings swoop down,
sacrifices were made,
helping the helpless to find the ground.
Obstruction, and elimination of happiness and prosperity,
eyes search for reasons and clarity,
holes in the silver giants, and holes in our hearts,
as the World Trade Center was torn apart.
