It seems like just yesterday you were sitting crisscross applesauce on your lofted bed in the freshman dorm room scrolling the web while reading Freshman year survival guides and taking advantage of the dining center. Ironic right? Now, you're starting your senior year and you would give anything for someone, literally anyone, to write you a survival guide and prepare all of your meals.

This next year isn't much different than any other for you, expect for the fact that you don't know where you will be a year from now, everything will change, and you will be leaving the place that you have called home for the last 4 years of your life. Terrifying? Yes. But it is a stepping stone in this beautiful life, and it is yours. So, how do you know that you're a senior in college?

1. You brunch hard and brunch often.

Brunch is completely new to your vocabulary but heavily used. Why? Because you and your gal pals have decided that you are absolutely too adult to sleep in until 1 pm on Sundays this year. Therefore, you've been spending your Sundays brunching hard and brunching often. Not to mention, documenting it every single time, because what other exciting things do you have to post on your Instagram stories? *Mimosa boomerang* #Cheers!

2. You no longer arrive to class fifteen minutes early.

You can be found in the Starbucks drive thru ten minutes before class starts because one thing that you have perfected in your last 3 years here is placing your order, parking your car, and still making it to class with one minute to spare.

3.You only have one year left at your favorite place, so you spend your free time wondering if you should be doing something that will benefit your future or taking advantage of your college years?

You find yourself wondering if you should spend your time wisely and do something beneficial for your future or if you should do the exact opposite and procrastinate with your pals.

4. You have stopped going to certain bars full of underage freshman.

The adrenaline rush you used to get standing in line as an 18-year-old is just not the same anymore. You actually kind of judge them, wondering if they will ever grow up like you did.

5. You take advantage of everything and anything that is free.

Free lunch in the quad? Yes, please. Coupons? Definitely! You take advantage of flashing your student ID everywhere you can for discounts too because after all, you will be on your own after this year and every penny counts. Literally.

6. Since you will be entering the real world in a matter of a year, you've taken an interest in politics.

7.You actually find joy in making a home made meal for yourself after a long day of class.

Chicken, rice, maybe even some veggies! You can't help but think to yourself, "I am domestic. I am going to be okay on my own in a year."

8. Happy hour holds a very special place in your heart.

Once again, you love a good discount. Not to mention, you have started casually drinking during meals and now wine has become your third course.

9. You already have your social media caption for graduation ready.

Whether it's sorority affiliated, something witty, or a thank you to your parents, you already know it. Not to mention, you already have a countdown of how many days until you can post it.

10. You're stressed about finding a job in the real world so you've started doing the most bizarre things to keep your mind off of it.

Things like going to get groceries, watching the news, going to happy hour, and even talking to people you don't know on the quad are now past-times to keep your mind off of how stressed you are.

11. You think that wine nights are so much more desirable than getting dressed up and going out.

12. Nonetheless, you are ready for whatever this year throws you and excited to take on senior year with your best friends.

Even though you still cry when you think about leaving them.

Although you are unsure of where you will end up after this year, you know where you will be for the next 365 days: your favorite place. So, college seniors, enjoy it and don't forget to act like a freshman once in a while!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
