Greensburg, Indiana is the definition of small town, USA. We are 12,000 people strong and take pride in the tree in our courthouse and our pork tenderloin sandwiches. Here are 10 signs you grew up in "The Burg".

1. You love people's reactions when you tell them your courthouse has a tree in it.

It's what we're known for and people often drive through Greensburg just to take pictures of it. We are also nicknamed the "Tree City".

2. El Reparo is your go-to restaurant when you come home.

We may not have a lot of food options in Greensburg, but when you are in the mood for food, El Rep is the top choice.

3. BASKETBALL BASKETBALL BASKETBALL

During the winter months, you can find a sea of blue and white packing the high school gym to support our Pirates. Some of your favorite high school memories were in the cheer block or the pep band with your friends.

4. You spent many summers at the athletic complex.

Playing softball and baseball also brought our town and county together. You met many of your friends when you were younger here, whether you went to Greensburg, North Decatur, or South Decatur.

5. We "breathe"

If you're from Greensburg reading this, you know what it means. If not, you're probably thinking "well of course they breathe". Whenever we play our rival Batesville, we often call the week before "Batesville Week". We strategically pick our cheer block themes and people trash talk on social media. "Breathe if you hate Batesville" has been a motto at Greensburg for many years.

6. When there's nothing to do, you just drive around town.

"Hey do you just want to drive around" is a text you have probably sent once or twice in your lifetime. Whether this is driving around in the country or driving to Wal-Mart, this is what you do when you're bored.

7. Storie's Pie and tenderloins. Enough said.

Storie's is a restaurant that has been a landmark in Greensburg for years. The pork tenderloin sandwich is the most popular item on the menu. No meal is complete without pie!

8. The high light of the summer is when the Super Twist trailer appears again.

After school, your friends or sports teams head to Super Twist to get ice cream. The summer isn't complete without at least one blue goo or pineapple whip.

9. You met some of your best friends in our small town.

We all go different places in our lives, but it's comforting when you get to see your friends from high school and you pick up right where you left off. The people in your hometown are some of the best people you will ever meet.

10. You say you hate it, but deep down a little piece of you will always be in Greensburg.

Miles may separate you, but The Burg will always hold a place in your heart. The cornfields and your family will always welcome you home, no matter how long you have been gone.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
