Signs You Are a Super Needy Girlfriend But Won't Admit It

No one wants to be labeled as needy. Although I consider myself extremely independent, I do sometimes find myself asking for things I am very much capable of doing on my own. Sometimes I like the help, and sometimes I’m just pure lazy. Having a great boyfriend is a blessing and a curse. This is because no matter what you ask for help with, they will always be willing to help you and sometimes that can make you even lazier than you were before. But, no girlfriend will ever admit how needy she really is.

But, for now, let's just thank our boyfriends for all their help with our many, many needs.

1. Wanting “good morning” texts, but never asking for them.

You’ll always hint at it, but you’ll never actually ask for it. It would make it way too obvious if you blatantly asked for a good morning text. Also, it would take away from how sweet they are. *Hint* boys

2. Occasionally asking them for room service.

There are some times when we don’t want to actually make the effort to get up and make food, or even go outside to pick up delivery at the door. So, for these times, we may ask for food to be delivered directly to us, even if that somewhere is still curled up in bed from the morning.

3. Constantly hugging him.

Sometimes we just need a hug. And sometimes that hug is 20 minutes long.

4. Free back scratches on demand.

Those tough to reach places are made a lot easier with someone to scratch them for us.

5. Begging them to give you a massage after a long day.

Massages are always a boyfriend’s favorite to receive, but never to give. But, sometimes our days are hard and tiring, and we need a little pampering. Thanks for always giving us a massage, even if its just five seconds long.

6. Their willingness to go on tampon runs despite being embarrassed.

No boy actually likes going to the store to pick up “lady things.” But, no women likes going to the store to pick it up when they can be comfortable in their bed suffering through their period. So, sometimes we have to force them to take one for the team.

7. And taking us out on dates.

It may be once a month, or once a week, but sometimes we just want to go out and have a nice classy dinner with our significant other. Dates become more few and far between as we get deeper into a relationship, but they are no less important.

8. Forcing them to go to family parties with you.

All I can say is I'm sorry and thank you.

You may be responsible for all of this… but you will still never admit to being a needy girlfriend.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
