Signs You And Your Mom Are Actual Gilmores

The relationship between a mother and a daughter can be usually one of two things. They can either be the best of friends or the worst of enemies. For the lucky few, a mother and daughter can be more than just best friends and the two of you can be thicker than thieves. Here are a few telltale signs that you and your mother are actually Gilmore Girls that Rory and Lorelai would be jealous of.

1. Coffee is your religion.

Coffee is not just another drink, it is a must have just to function on a day-to-day basis.

2.You tell each other everything.

No matter how good, bad, or inappropriate something might be, they are the first person you run to.

3.You are not afraid to make fun of them in public.

Especially with the juicy details they just privately shared with you.

4.You are not afraid to make a scene.

Who cares if people stare? They are just jealous they are not you!

5. Your appetite always comes first.

It is almost like your stomachs are endless pits. You will eat anything, anywhere, anytime, especially if it is unhealthy.

6.You have a sense of humor that most people do not understand.

You two are so close, it is hard for normal people to actually keep up with what you are saying. But who cares about normal people anyway? Sarcasm is a part of your daily conversation and you embrace it.

7.You are identical twins.

You look almost exactly alike and (to the pleasure of your mom), might be asked if you are sisters.

8.You give the best advice.

You both know what each other needs, whether they like it or not. The suggestions might not be the best, but you know exactly what to say to make the other feel better.

9. You are together the majority of the time.

You may find yourself skipping a Friday night on the town to order Chinese takeout and watch T.V. reruns with your mom. But that is totally normal, if not routine.

10.No matter what happens, you will always love each other more than life.

No matter how many fights or disagreements you get into, you know you will be there for each other no matter what. Your bond is stronger than most and you would not be who you are without the other. You are closer than just family, you are Gilmore Girls.

If you and your mom relate to one or more of the above, congratulations! You are officially a Gilmore Girl. So grab some coffee, order some take out, and get ready for the new Gilmore Girls coming to Netflix on November 25th!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
