Emotions on senior year vary from person to person. Some seniors are terrified for the real world ahead, others are upset that they are leaving college, and there is also the group that is just so ready to be done. If you are experiencing any of these signs, you have senioritis.

1. You are no longer motivated to learn, you just want to get the A and get out

2. Your internship and/or job is prioritized over classes

3. You sigh at all of your friends in the real world, wishing that you are one of them

4. You spend your free time day dreaming about your dream job

5. You would rather have relaxing nights in rather than wild nights out

6. You now enjoy your cooking more than your favorite fast food joint

7. You are going to snap if you have to write one more paper

8. You're decorating your graduation cap in October


No matter how much you cannot wait to graduate, be sure to enjoy your last year of college, because it will fly by before you know it.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
