We've all been there. Spent so many hours staring at a screen watching a storyline unfold. Going through emotions of joy, happiness, and sorrow as the season's progress and then it happens. The moment you knew was going to happen but just wasn't ready for. The last show.
There are some shows that have to wrap up their storylines pretty well, and there are other's that leave you going through the five stages of grief. However, there are some shows that just let you get to the fifth stage of acceptance. Here is a list of shows, that I know of, that have done this.
1. How I Met Your Mother
After 9 seasons of listening to Ted talk about his love life with his children, we come to find that their mother ended up dying. The last thing we see is Ted going back to Aunt Robin trying to swoon her over one more time. This ending left audiences feeling angry because we all know Ted and Robin are like oil and water. No matter how hard they try, they will never mix well together.
2. Gilmore Girls
After their Netflix return, fans all gathered around their laptops and smart tv's to figure out if Luke and Lorelai will finally marry and to see who Rori would choose to be her guy. Now, the fans did get what they wanted with the wedding of Luke and Lorelai; however, the show ends with Rori discussing with Lorelai that she is pregnant and then went the credits. Excuse me, we as fans deserve to know who the baby daddy is.
3. Dexter
Ah, Dexter, another Showtime classic that had every crime-show loving fans captivated for 8 seasons cheering for the "bad guy". But the last episode so much happened within that last five minutes. You expect us to believe that Dexter trusted that psycho chick to take care of Harrison. And why the heck would Dexter become a lumbarjack? Come on Showtime, you NEED to give us at least one more season to explain yourselves here.
4. Gossip Girl
Sorry not sorry, there is no logical way Dan was Gossip Girl. That is all.
5. New Girl
After 6 seasons of wishing and hoping for Nick and Jess to get together, season 7 finally comes along to give us what the audience wanted. Which, don't get me wrong there was much rejoicing; however, season 7 was rushed. Three years into the future? I mean come on we also wanted to see what CeCe's delivery was like when she had Ruth. We also wanted to see the awkwardness of Nick and Jess's relationship coming back together again. Come one writer's, that's just being lazy. Smh.
