The chains jingled while he rubbed his eyes trying to get a better view of the woman standing in front of him. She was standing there hands rested on her hips in a firm power stance.

"I'm sorry, but you've must have the wrong person," stated Andrew

"That can't be, my fortune teller admitted that within four months a young knight will appear because they opened the door, to help me conquer the near by kingdom," said the woman.

"Well, I'm no knight in shining armor, I'm just a 22 year old architectural intern from New York, who never held a sword in my life," admitted Andrew, "so if you just let me go, I'll be out of your hair and the real knight will appear."

"Absolutely not, I'm not letting you go under any circumstance possible," replied the woman

"So you're imprisoning regardless of what I do or say," answered Andrew, "How is this even ok?"

"I'm queen Victoria, and last time I checked, there was no door for you to get back too without my help," answered Queen Victoria.

Beatriz and Finn

"We have no way of finding out where Andrew is," said Finn, "Why don't we just find the door of where we came from and go home."

"Where are we going to find a door? We are in the middle of nowhere, and going up to random people asking if they have a secret door is no necessary an ideal idea," said Beatriz

Alex stood up from the table and came rushing to Beatriz and Finn. "Hey, they are calling all the townspeople outside for an announcement."

The three of them rushed outside to find a short man playing something on a trumpet. After he finished he unrolled a piece of paper that and read, "Your royal highness, Queen Victoria has announced that she wants to introduce you to her new knight, Sir Andrew of New York...."

"Sir Andrew of New York?" repeated Finn. "Would that make me Duke Finn of New York?"

"Oh what did that boy get himself into?" asked Beatriz.

"Hey Alex, do you know where this Queen Victoria is?," asked Finn "Who is she?"

"I've never met her, but I know where she is," said Alex.

Andrew

The guardsman threw clothes into the cell that Andrew was sitting in. While Andrew was looking out the small window.

"Put them on," said the guardsman

"What? Why?" asked Andrew picking them up. They weren't ordinary clothes, but rather clothes a prince would wear.

"Put them on, I'll be back in 15 minutes, the Queen wants to have dinner with you," said the guardsman unlocking the chains that Andrew was wearing.

After 15 minutes, the guardsman returned and opened the cell door. Andrew stepped out wearing the royal attire.

The guard took Andrew to the main dining hall, where they were greeted by the Queen at one end of the table wearing a different outfit.

"Why are you doing this?" asked Andrew

"If you are the knight that will help capture my kingdom," said Queen Victoria. "I have to treat you better than just a servant."

"Huh," smirked Andrew while several chefs placed trays on the table. Each tray had steaming hot food.

"Help yourself Andrew," said the Queen, while one of the servers poured him a glass of wine

"No," answered Andrew

"Well then at least try the wine, it's one of my favorites," said the Queen

Andrew took a sip of the wine, and after he drank the wine he grabbed some of the foods and started eating.

Beatriz and Finn

"This is it," said Alex pointing to the castle that was guarded by two men, while all three of them were several feet away hiding behind a bush.

"So let's go.." started Finn, but Alex pulled him back.

"You see those two guards right there, the moment they see us, they will throw us in their holding cell, we are doing it my way," said Alex, "Beatriz, how good at pretending you're drunk?"

Beatriz stepped on the road and started walking clumsily up to the guards, while Finn and Alex walked through the trees coming up behind the guards.

"Hello boys...,do you know where....I left...my earrings?" said Beatriz falling into the arms of one of the guards

"Ma'am, I think you need to sit down..." said the guard but before he could finish Alex placed him in a choke hold, and he slowly fell asleep while Finn hit him with a rock knocking him out.

"A rock? Really? He's going to wake up with a bump on his head," said Alex

"Don't worry, he won't remember a thing," said Finn waving away the problem

"Alright let's go," said Beatriz running toward the gate of the castle, when all of a sudden they heard laughter coming the balcony on the side of the castle.

"Is that Andrew?" whispered Beatriz

"Shhh.." said Alex, but it was too late,

"Guards, there are some people down there below hanging about why don't you bring them in," said a voice from above. The guard grabbed Beatriz, Finn, and Alex and pulled them into the castle, into the dining hall where the Queen and Andrew were drinking what seemed to be their second bottle of wine laughing away.

"Who are these peasants?" asked the Queen

"They were hanging about the castle, don't want to say why?" said the guard

"Andrew! Tell your friend here to let us go," said Finn

"Take them to the holding cell," said Queen Victoria, "Let them quiet down before we talk to them,"

Beatriz, Finn, and Alex were thrown into the holding cell in the basement of the castle.

"What was that?" asked Finn, "He didn't even argue with her."

Andrew walked down towards the cell and said, "What were you thinking breaking into the castle in the middle of the night?"

"Excuse me?" said Beatriz, "We are trying to save you and go home."

"I don't know who you people are, and why you think I need saving," said Andrew

"It's us, Finn and Beatriz, friends since the beginning of time, we moved into the house only four weeks ago," said Finn. "Are you drunk or something, Andrew?"

Andrew grabbed the bars of the cell furiously, "Don't speak to me that way! It's Sir Andrew and tomorrow after I capture the nearby kingdom it might even be King Andrew" He stormed out of the basement.

"He's never like this," said Beatriz

"If he in fact is your friend, than the Queen drugged him," said Alex

"So that means he would wake up sober right?" asked Finn

"Unfortunately no, what she gave him can only be cured with an antidote, I know this because she almost drugged me," said Alex

"Almost?" asked Finn

"Couple months ago, she kidnapped me into her kingdom, treated me like a guest with a fancy five course meal, along with her finest bottle of champagne at the time. It was suspicious because the only reason she kidnapped me or rather her guards kidnapped me was because I refused to give up half of my kingdom," said Alex

"So why are you hiding from everyone now?" asked Beatriz

"That night of the dinner, I refused to drink the champagne, and ran out, escaping the guards. But she had another plan in mind, she staged that I broke in and held her hostage. She had the towns artists draw out the whole fake incident. She paid off locals who can script together a well-developed story to go along with it and everyone in town would believe them. I mean who wouldn't, they were your tradesmen, and your sellers. The word spread to my town, where everyone turned towards her believing in every word she said and they kicked me out," said Alex

"She gained not half, but my entire kingdom, while I have to hide among the rest of the commoners in her town," said Alex. "She's a mastermind, she will always get what she wants."

"Andrew is a zombie to her, and even if he could refuse, she'd probably kill him," said Finn

"Where can we get the antidote?" asked Beatriz

"I know a man who can easily make it, no problem," said Alex

Suddenly smoke filled the room, that soon made all three of them pass out, until the next day.

"Finn, wake up!" yelled Beatriz shaking him awake.

"What are yelling for?" asked Finn rubbing his eyes, and standing up from the hard ground

"We passed out last night," said Alex looking out the window of the cell

"Your royal highness is setting you free, and requires that you never enter her premises again," said a guard opening the gate door.

"Where's Andrew?" asked Beatriz,

"Sir Andrew of New York is not here," said the guard.

"He's already gone to capture the other kingdom," said Alex, "Let's go get the antidote."

They reached a shop hidden within the town. While knocking on the door, the door creaks open and behind the counter is an older man. The older man has his back towards the door, and yells, "What brings you here?"

"I heard you can reverse any...spell.." said Alex

The older man stopped what he was stirring and turned around to face them. He had greasy gray hair, and was blind in one eye.

"We need to help someone regain their conscience," said Alex

The man rummaged in a chest and pulled out two small bottles of a green liquid.

"This is it, but there is a price to pay for it," said the man

"How much?" said Alex checking his pocket for money.

"No, I can't put a price on it since this is a rare antidote, it'll have to be something else," said the man

"What do you mean something else?" said Alex

The man pointed at Finn's pocket where his shiny iPhone was sticking out.

"That shiny metal will do," pointed the man.

"Oh no, not my iPhone," said Finn backing away from the counter

"Finn, do you want to go home or not?" asked Beatriz grabbing the iPhone and handing it to the man who was amazed by it.

"Wait, you wouldn't happen to know a way to time travel would you?" asked Finn

The man stopped examining the iPhone. "Time travel?" he asked, "You don't happen to be time travelers are you?"

"We are, actually," said Finn, "From 2017."

"Ahahah," laughed the man with joy, "It does exist!" "How did you happen to travel back here?"

"Through a door...," started Finn before Beatriz nudged him to keep quiet, and grabbed him by the arm guiding him toward the door.

"Wait, as crazy as you might sound, I actually know a way you can go back," said the man

"You do?" asked Beatriz

"Yes, at midnight tonight come to my shop from the back, knock on the door, once the door opens there will be a hallway and on your left is the door that will open a time jump," said the man.

"Are you sure it will work?" asked Beatriz

"I really hope so," said the man.

They exited the shop with the cure, and took a carriage all the way to the town where Andrew might be. They rode it all the way to the kingdom to find that the guardsmen in front where killed, and the door was kicked in. Andrew was walking out the door side of the castle, turns out he killed the king and conquered the kingdom.

"We're too late," said Alex looking at the body of the king that laid on the ground in a puddle of blood.

Finn sprinted after Andrew and jumped onto of him. He hit him on the side of the rock with a head knocking Andrew out.

"Finn!" yelled Beatriz running after him

"What did you do?" asked Alex

"I knocked him out, now let's go to that door and get us out of here," said Finn

It was late at night when they finally returned to the shop, Finn opened Andrews mouth to pour the antidote in while Beatriz knocked on the door. The door creaked open and they turned to their left to find the door and she was about to pull the door handle, but stopped. She let go of the handle.

"We can't leave," said Beatriz

"What do you mean?!" said Finn

"If we leave, that means Queen Victoria won and she has more power than ever before. You need to get your kingdom back," said Beatriz looking at Alex

"No, you need to save your friend, I don't know what other effects the cure might have. Don't worry about me," said Alex and he opening the door.

Finn pushed unconscious Andrew in and followed after him. Beatriz hesitated, but was pushed in by Alex.

They fell straight through the other door landing on the ground.

"Ouch!" yelled Finn grabbing his knee which he landed on

Beatriz started to push herself up from the floor to realize that they were no longer standing in that house, but it looked like all the walls of the house were burned to the ground and the only thing left was the wood floor and scraps pieces of paper.

"What happened?" asked Andrew finally waking up, "and why am I dressed like this?"

Out from under the door slid a piece of paper that read, "Sweden now opens half of Europe thanks to Queen Victoria's predecessors...." Finn picked up another piece of paper that read, "1896 changed the course of Sweden's history to the point where royal families in 2017 are now in conflict with the Presidents of other countries, for all you know you could be standing on Sweden's land."

"What happened to the house?" asked Andrew, he half sprinted over to the mailbox that stood firm but slightly bent over, inside were papers that read, "Land for sale by owner, unoccupied since June 2017."

"What?" said Andrew

"We need to go back," said Beatriz running towards the door and pulling it open, except the door was tightly shut.

Finn walked to the the other side of the door, there was nothing there, but he couldn't pull it open from the other side either. The door stood firmly on the ground unlike the rest of the construction.

"Why is this door locked? This door was never locked!" yelled Beatriz who was now trying to push the door open but still nothing happened.

"We changed the course of history and not in a good way," said Finn

So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

144906

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
