6 Stores That I Shopped At Between The Ages Of 11-14 That Defined My Middle School Fashion Sense

Everyone had some questionable fashion choices when it came to middle school. Feathers in the hair, kool-aid dye, blue makeup, and even as far as crackle nail polish. I think it is safe to say that many of us have thankfully outgrown these decisions and have bettered our fashion sense since. However, there are still sometimes that I look back and wonder why my parents would let me shop at such crazy stores, or even let me purchase anything from them (or honestly even buy it for me). Here are 6 stores that I, and hopefully the majority of people, have outgrown since the middle school days.

Where else would you get shirts with such crazy sayings? Well, I guess we have Forever 21, but we make better decisions now, right?

2. Limited Too

I honestly hardly remember shopping here as a child, but I think the purple and green changing room curtains will be forever ingrained into my brain.

3. Aeropostale

The iconic 87 shirts will forever be a part of any middle schoolers wardrobe. I swear this business has been 'going out of business' for at least 4 years now, but they keep coming back.

4. Delia's

This store's catalog honestly just started showing up one day. I had only actually seen this store in person once while in a northern state. Sometimes I'm not even for sure if it was real until I remember the leggings with the British flag that I would've died for.

5. Abercrombie & Fitch

Honestly, this store was a bit risky for a middle schooler which is maybe what made it cool?

6. Rue 21

Graphic tees galore. And for such a cheap price too? I cannot tell you how many graphic shirts from here that I gave away or sold at garage sales as I grew out of this phase.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
