With August quickly approaching, it's time to start thinking about back to school shopping! Although we wish beach days, tans, and mornings without alarm clocks could last us all year long, the sad reality is that summer is coming to an end. Back to school shopping can be overwhelming, but with some quick tips and tricks, you can become an expert shopper! Soon you'll know which stores have the most practical dorm accessories and at the most affordable prices. Oh, and you'll also know where to get all the student discounts that you never knew existed, but you so desperately need!

1. Bed Bath & Beyond

Ok, so this one is a no-brainer. Every college student has gone into Bed Bath and Beyond with their mom to get the basic dorm necessities. You can find everything from bedding, shower shoes, to cleaning supplies.

2. Dormify

If shopping in-store isn't your style, Dormify is an online store where you can find trendy dorm accessories!

3. The Container Store

When you move into a dorm, proper storage is key. For girls moving in with a thousand pairs of shoes and a ton of clothes, The Container Store will become your new best friend. You can find just about any size container/ storage unit that will fit perfectly in your dorm!

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
