This is an important election

The White House has an open seat. There is no incumbent running for this election and in January 2016, the United States of America is guaranteed a new commander-in-chief and vice president, no matter what. We are brought not only the new face of our country but the important policies and important appointed positions by said face. This election, in a sense, is not only significant for our country — but the world as a whole. Why is it more important this year?

These are trying times for our country, times that require strong leadership as we face violence, economic and social issues.

I'm here to say something that you've heard before: Donald Trump is not this strong leader.

We've heard earlier in the week, the infamous "Grab them by the pussy. You can do anything." line from Mr. Trump. Disgusting incestuous comments about his daughter, Ivanka, a "piece of ass." You can find a plethora of sexist comments from this article. It's quite a colorful article that goes from offensive comments about fellatio to "disgusting breastfeeding." From "Miss Piggy" to "Miss Housekeeping" — I think it's safe for some to say that he's not suitable for president.

But what could be even more concerning than the pages and pages of sexist comments, but the fact that he's become a figurehead of every sexist and heartless mindset in our nation and that America is doing absolutely nothing but giving him the opportunity to be elected.

Many of his comments in the debates are rude and condescending. But a major trait would be interrupting and "mansplaining."

"She didn't interrupt you, so don't interrupt her"

This was said by the moderator during the September 26th Presidental Debate and had to be repeated again.

Why can't this man respectfully wait his turn?

Isn't it the common courtesy? Aren't we arguing in these debates to reach for solutions and inspiring others?

Truth is, much of the language in this debate was hardly presidential. It was filled to the brim emotional banter, unfactual facts, and quite honestly, some childish rhetoric that is eerily similar to the facebook fights that I used to read in the seventh grade.

This toxic mentality of entitlement, racism, and rapid sexism is much stronger than any fiber of care that Donald Trump has in his heart for my country. It's apparent that this behavior surpasses the proverbial "locker room."

America, if you're looking for someone to represent the millions of voices of this country, do not look to the man who interrupts people on a daily basis.

America, we can do better than what we saw last night

This is an important election.
