Candace Bushnell created pure gold when coming up with "Sex in the City." Rightfully so, the series earned the reputation of being an iconic phenomenon. The friendships, empowerment, and storyline are simply untouchable. Bushnell brought four women together with extremely different backgrounds and personas, yet despite popular opinion, there's one character who deserves the spotlight a little extra— Samantha Jones.

The "Public Relations Executive, unmarried woman" is known mostly for her promiscuity, but there's much more than meets the eye. She's as ambitious as it comes, extraordinarily fierce, and doesn't sugarcoat anything which is just part of her non-filtered charm. She's an example of what an independent, strong woman ought to be.

Never underrated, but simply not appreciated enough. Here are 15 reasons you should shamelessly look up to Samantha Jones:

1. Never, ever let someone try to walk all over you.

2. Own everything you do and walk like you're the boss.

3. If you're single, you have the freedom to do as you please, so do it.

4. Just live your life and don't sweat the small stuff.

5. Putting yourself first is so, so important.

6. Some things can get really messy, so make it less messy.

7. Set your standards high because you're a dime piece.

8. Always have your friends' back.

9. You can't stay stuck in the past because it will defeat you.

10. Use these three words wisely.

11. Don't fall for the trap and don't be naive.

12. When it comes to your career, work your ass off so you can do what others cannot.

13. If you want pizza, eat it. If you want chicken nuggets, eat it. If you want tacos, eat them. If you want ice cream, eat it. If you want Doritos, eat it.

14. When it comes to your man, always look your hottest to keep things exciting.

15. When you find your forever friends, appreciate them and hold them close.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
