Seven Facts About Appearance Perfectionists

My friends make fun of me all the time for being a perfectionist, especially when it comes to my appearance. I always need to look my best no matter where we go. Here are some facts of appearance perfectionists everywhere.

1. You take forever to get ready.

At least an hour every morning.

2. You have a crazy nightly routine.

So what if I brush my hair, take off my makeup, wash my face, moisturize my face, brush my teeth, floss, put on deodorant, put on lotion, and apply an eyelash enhancer before I go to sleep?

3. Even going to the convenience store is a big deal.

Oh, we're buying ice cream? I'll be ready in five minutes, let me just spray my hair, reapply my perfume, touch up my lipgloss, put on deodorant, and finish off my lashes.

4. You always look on point, even at your 8:00 a.m. classes.

Going to class in pajamas is a crime.

5. You don't understand why people don't take care of themselves.

I may be constantly lecturing my friends on personal care, but it's only because I want them to be their best selves.

6. You always have extra products in your bag.

You never know when something's gonna need a touch up.

7. You always feel like your best self.

If this is what it takes for me to feel beautiful and confident, then it's what I'm gonna do.

Obviously, appearance isn't everything, but some people need to look their best to feel their best.

The Norse Creation Myth

Now, I have the everlasting joy of explaining the Norse creation myth. To be honest, it can be a bit kooky, so talking about it is always fun. The entire cosmos is included in this creation myth, not just the earth but the sun and the moon as well. This will be a short retelling, a summary of the creation myth, somewhat like I did with Hermod's ride to Hel.
