Coming home from my freshman year of college was definitely a surreal experience and not all of my friends are home from school yet, but I know that there's one thing I know that's waiting for me. I have missed my bed a lot this year and coming home made my appreciate it so much more and curse myself for not buying a better mattress pad. Out of the ever so many things I missed about my bed, here's my top seven.
1. How COMFY my bed was
Honestly, this one is a little bit of my own fault. I did not put in any time or effort into looking for a decent mattress pad, so my dorm bed at college sort of felt like a box with springs. Moral of the story, put effort into your college shopping.
2. Having a bed that didn't squeak every time you moved
Having a squeaky bed makes it THAT much harder to fall asleep.
3. Having a lofted bed, so having to make your way up there every night...
Getting to my bed required climbing on my chair, desk, and then jumping onto my bed and hoping I landed.
4. AND having to climb down every morning...
My roommate witnessed me almost falling off my desk and slapping the wall one too many a time this year
5. AND being scared that you would fall off your bed and hit the fridge
Even though I had bed rails, I still had this fear that I would find some way to fall off.
6. Not having thumbtacks fall on you in the middle of the night
I probably should have strategically placed my posters elsewhere, or used some other type of thing to secure them...
