Big and Little we will always be.

8 Things I Thank My Big For

Ever since I was in 10th grade, I dreamed about who my Big would be. You turned out a million times better, and I'm so glad it was you! I don't think I tell you enough how amazing I think you are and how thankful I am for you! DLAM.

1. Reassuring me

You are the first person I come to when I need someone to tell me I am making a good choice or that dropping out of school to be a trophy wife isn't a good idea. I don't know what I would do without you supporting my crazy ideas or being proud of me when I don't totally bomb a test.

2. Making time for me

We are both busy, and still you make time to sit down with me and listen to my crazy stories or boy drama when you probably have better things to do.

3. Not killing me yet

Thanks a lot actually! I know that I am annoying and high maintenance, yet you still put up with me and actually seem to be enjoying it. There may have been times that you were annoyed with my 100th question about what to wear to chapter, but you still answered me, even though it was 3 a.m.

4. Taking a million pictures with me

I know that after the fifth “fake laugh” photo, you are a little annoyed that I didn’t open my eyes and we have to start over, so thanks for never being like "we are done here."

5. Coordinating outfits with me

It's only embarrassing when it isn't your Little, remember that. It's very much appreciated that you don't mind taking a million more photos in our matching outfits, because if there isn't a photo, did it really happen?

6. Keeping me on track

Without you I'd never find my phone, make to the gym, or remember what events we have going on. Making sure that I go to class when you see me on the quad really is a life saver!

7. Not being weirded out that I'm kind of obsessed with you

And by kind of I mean a lot. Why wouldn't I be? You are such an amazing person! Thanks for being such a good role model!

8. Thank for being my BIG

I can't thank you enjoy for choosing me. Seriously though, words can not express how much I adore our relationship and you! I am going to miss you so much when you are abroad, but it will be worth it because you'll be around forever (I'll make sure of it). I would be lost without you. Love you!

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
