Finals are in the air and the stress of getting good grades and passing classes is at an all-time high. This causes people to panic and needing a sense of comfort. Some people get care packages from their families or friends, but like me, you weren’t as lucky as those. For those not getting a care package, there are a lot of foods that you can eat to help relax you. Now they may not be the healthiest foods, but they do the job of comforting you. Here are the seven best foods to eat when you need some comfort.
1. Soup
Now personally my favorite is chicken noodle, which helps me feel the best. Now some people like others better, but soup is the one food that helps you feel better just by one spoonful.
2. Mac 'n' cheese
I feel bad for the people who can’t have mac and cheese because in my opinion, it’s the best comfort food there is. Whenever I’m in a bad mood or feeling down I always know I can eat mac and cheese and I’ll feel all better.
3. Mashed Potatoes
Oh my gosh, I don’t even know where to start but I love them so much. I love the ones without the skin, but I can’t get over the comfort it provides. I don’t know what it is but they are magical.
4. Ice cream
Ice cream is another food, and maybe the most popular, comfort food there is. Feeling sad? Eat ice cream. Feeling stressed? Load up on the delicious treat. There are so many different flavors salty, sweet, and even weird ones, that anyone can get their fix with ice cream.
5. Pizza
Pizza has been a cult favorite for so many people and for many years. The so many different forms, sauces, and toppings can make any combination to help someone when stressed or feeling down.
6. Any dessert in general
Any dessert will help comfort any person, no matter what they’re going through. Now I said any dessert because there are so many different ones and they all will help you with any stress you’re going through. Like cake, brownies, or cookies. These are all good and easy recipes students can make in their dorms with a microwave.
7. Candy
There are many forms of candy, sour, sweet, and salty. This is very easy to get in college and help comfort students in their stressful times.
