With the new month still in its early stage, I love to set goals for myself to accomplish. What makes August unique is the fact that a new school year starts as well. I get the same vibes of a new year so my goals for this month are more like "new year resolutions." Setting larger goals for this month is extremely important to start the school year off with a great start.
Workout five times a week.
This goal is something I always have listed in my monthly goals, and I still have never achieved it. I always come up with excuses such as, "I am too busy," "I have too much to do," "The gym is packed with way too many people." I need to quit making these excuses up because people who truly are consistent at going to the gym push through it. Besides, Arizona State University has multiple gyms I can access on campus, so there is no reason why I should not make it to the gym. Also, there are so many benefits to working out that will be extremely helpful once I am in the middle of the semester, stressing out to the max.
Do not procrastinate.
If anyone has tips for this please let me know. I love the idea of going hardcore on my school work during the week that way I can have the weekends off to do whatever I want. I struggle with taking naps or watching Youtube videos to avoid my school work. Help?!
Start each day with a grateful heart.
When I am stressed out or feeling down, it is easy for me to be negative about every aspect in my life. My goal for this month and school year is to keep a positive mindset, and to be thankful for the life I have. Everyone is going to have a bad day at some point, but I need to remind myself that it is not the end of the world, and everything will be okay.
Goal setting sets such an amazing tone for your month or even year. I encourage everyone to do it, and I wish you all the luck accomplishing them. We are in this together.
