Serving at a restaurant is a love-hate relationship. That's something I learned very quickly after getting my first serving job. If you are or have ever been a server, you know these problems all too well.
1. When a table complains about the taste of their food and blame you for it.
2. Having to go to the chef and ask them to remake something, knowing how much they hate you.
3. When a coworker asks you to pick up a table that's not in your section.
4. Realizing your table was sat but they've been there for 7 minutes and you haven't greeted them yet.
5. Dinner rush.
6. Trying to take someone's order and discovering you don't have a pen.
7. Watching other servers take orders without writing anything down.
8. Forgetting about your side-work.
9. When someone tips you over 20%.
11. When someone orders the most extreme and complicated order ever recorded in history.
12. When you finally clock out and walk away with cash tips in your hand.
