Senioritis n: The feelings of relaxation, boredom, and not-caring that often occur during the second semester of your senior year in high school.
It's almost that time of year when seniors in high school are finished. They are finished with college applications, their FAFSA profiles, college visits, tours, questionnaires, College Board, SAT's, ACT's, and fun things of that nature. Everyone who is currently a senior or has already graduated knows this feeling. Since it's such a relatable feeling, what better to describe it with than GIFs from one of the most relatable shows on television?
1) When your first semester grades are out and you don't have to pay attention in class anymore.
No better time to take a snooze than when your first semester grades are already out.
2) Every single class.
This is relevant for every grade, but it becomes a BIG mood when you get to be a senior.
3) When underclassmen get excited about being seniors.
Underclassmen always get so excited to be seniors. Just wait until they actually know what it's like...
4) Finding out how much you have to spend to send your college applications in.
Wait, you have to pay just to apply?!
5) Realizing that you won't miss any of your high school 'friends'.
Your lunch table is great. Well, at least they were great for the past four years but they definitely won't be attending your wedding.
6) Attending any 'senior activities' with your entire grade.
12 years is a long time to be together and all of these senior activities like barbecues and parties are celebrating all that time spent growing up with one another. At this point, you're all one big dysfunctional family. Emphasis on the dysfunctional.
7) The Senior Mood.
Do seniors actually even care about anything? (No, we don't.)
8) Filling out the FAFSA like...
Not only is it frustrating, confusing, and time consuming, but the Estimated Family Income is the funniest joke you've heard since finding out your AP Exam scores.
9) Getting the juniors ready for senior year.
Again, younger grades always want to be seniors. You remember when you were that young and naive too.
10) Finally being ready to submit your college applications and having to fill out transcript reports and SAT/ACT scores.
Sometimes reviewing your transcripts from past years and all of your other details on the Common App or other applications can make you feel inferior. Maybe this is all a mistake, maybe you're not cut out for the real world after all. But then you just take a deep breath, cross your fingers, and hit submit. Real world, here you come.
