Senior year is the most bittersweet time of your academic career. You may feel lost, stressed, excited, or all of the above. Never fear, Phoebe Buffay is here to sympathize with you and be your partner in crime every step of the way.
1. You're going to see your friends less as you all start your internships and new schedules.
2. But you know you'll still meet up every weekend to go out now that the whole squad is finally 21.
3. And once you're out all you wanna do is get drunk and not think about anything school- or work-related.
4. The rest of the weekend is spent brunching and day-drinking.
5. But then Monday rolls around and it's back to 8AM classes and internship commutes.
6. By the end of the day, you're so tired that you can't imagine having a full-time job.
7. But then you remind yourself that the hard work will pay off in less than a year and you buckle down.
8. You send out what seems like millions of e-mails and job applications after spending hours padding your résumé and cover letter
9. No matter how many rejection e-mails you get, you have to remind yourself it's not personal and that the right job will come eventually.
10. ....But then you're so burnt out by Wednesday that you start to lose hope once again.
11. It scares you that eventually you will have to start spending a lot more money on rent, utilities, and food even though you don't have a job.
12. And a serious relationship? Not with graduation right around the corner.
13. But then Thirsty Thursday rolls around and your future starts to look a little brighter.
14. You practically sprint to the bar.
15. And the cycle begins again.
16. After months of school work and networking, you FINALLY land a post-grad job!!
17. And the rest of the year can be spent having fun, loving life, and spending money freely with the promise of a paycheck in the future.
18. Of course, you eventually have to say goodbye to the best friends you've made over the past four (maybe five) years.
19. But the silver lining is that you no longer have to deal with term papers, final exams, and that annoying kid in your philosophy class.
20. Don't be nervous. Just remember to take the year slowly and take advantage of every opportunity! As always, Phoebe will be there for you as the rain starts to pour, like she's been there before.
