School Is Stressful- Here's To Maximizing Relaxation Time

We see the term self-care thrown around all the time. Whenever somebody is in a stressful situation, we often ask if they are practicing self-care. But, when we think about it, what does self-care really mean? And how the hell are we supposed to practice self-care when we are busy 24/ 7.

One thing that I have noticed for myself is that when I get distracted while I'm working it can often add time or even double the amount of time my work would have taken. Obviously, no one can be 100% focused for hours and hours but when you are distractedly working, you are most likely not fully relaxed nor getting fully focused. So then you are left in a place where you didn't get as much work done as you had hoped and now you don't have time to relax. I've been there PLENTY of times. With all of that in mind, one tip maximize relaxation time is to set dedicated study time, at least for the bigger projects/tests so that you can spend more time relaxing or lightly working with your friends.

Listen, I get it, most of us are super busy. Sometimes I am out of my room from 9-9 and it's hard to find time for yourself. I used to be of the mindset that I only have 5/10 minutes, what can I do? I've discovered that even 5-10 minutes of self-care can make your day exponentially better. For example, if you only have 10 minutes you can put on some calming music and just do some stretches to start your day or for a mid-day pick me up. Maybe there's an article you've wanted to read- well, that's the time. It also helps to relaize how many minutes youre losing by spending longer on your phone than you meant to. I know that sometimes I mean to check one or two things end up spending 15 minutes on social media. Similarly to the work point, that time wasn't really relaxing but if you can have the willpower through the rest of the day and use those 15 minutes for self-care, you will probably have a little bit more time for self-care.

The last point about relaxing that have noticed isthat I enjoy my relaxation/ time I spend not working SO much more when I have specifically set time in the day aside for that. When I get a lot of things done and then set time for just scrolling through social media while wearing a facemask, that time is SO much more relaxing than when I get sucked into the 5th youtube video while I should be studying.

School and life can be stressful, be kind to yoursellf.

5 Signs You're A Highly Spiritual Diva

Tie yourself down to your chair and grab a glass of Prosecco because this is about to blow your little, perplexing mind.

Tie yourself down to your chair, or your toilet, and grab a glass of Prosecco because this is about to blow your little, feeble mind. Let's be clear about ONE THING. You're not crazy. You're not delusional and you're definitely not a weirdo. You're a spiritual being. You work from a place within. If you've ever had or experienced anything of these things, you're probably the next Long Island Medium, or you're just simply a highly spiritual DIVA.

"Bridgerton' is a period drama created by Chris Van Dusen and produced by Shonda Rhimes based on a series of novels written by Julia Quinn. The show follows the eight siblings of the Bridgerton family as they attempt to find love and happiness in London high society.

Since its release, Bridgerton has taken the world by storm and has left every viewer talking about it. While fans of the show have been left with a lot to discuss, one of the conversations I hear most frequently is about fashion. Fans can't get enough of the shows regal and vintage fashion. So much so that this new interest in fashion from this era has been dubbed as "Regencycore." As the popularity of this show and similar shows only continues to grow, I suspect to see this trend only continue to grow throughout the next year. So here is how I think Bridgerton and Regencycore style will affect fashion trends in 2021.

With Coral Springs offering so many big chain options, its easy to forget the local chains and mom and pop joints that are worth checking out while you're home.

I love coming home from school for many reasons, one of them being home-cooked meals. However, there is a handful of places that are only in C. Springs that I have to have while I am home. One of the most common mental health disorders is Bipolar I and II, in fact around 3 million people each year are diagnosed. And while mental health is being pushed into the spotlight even more there is still quite a bit of stigma circulating around it, and with Bipolar Disorder this is even more true due to the nature of how it is constantly presented in the media, whether it be on the news or even in films. So, what is Bipolar Disorder? And what are the manic and depressive episodes like?

Not many are aware that there are two different phases that revolve around bipolar disorder, they are manic and depressive. What are they? How would you classify them? What are the symptoms of the phases? These are the most common questions regarding these two phases, and quite honestly it can be hard to pinpoint them from an outsider who is not aware of how to spot if their loved one is going into either phase.
