As test week is coming to an end I thought it would be nice to share some tips and tricks on how to have what I like to call a self-care night! I am a huge believer in setting time apart just to wind down and treat yourself, especially after a busy, stressful week. Self-care can sometimes not be a priority especially when you have a thousand other things to do, but hopefully, you can start to incorporate these ideas in your everyday life.

The first thing I like to do is make my living space nice and cozy. This is probably a weird thing to do when you're trying to destress but I personally find it makes myself feel better when I have a clean space so I usually like to start off my self-care night by cleaning up my room I don't use this time to deep clean everything but I find that if you pick up the inevitable clothes lying on the floor and just straighten everything up it is an instant mood booster. Next, I usually like to light the candles in my room and turn on my fairy lights, this is such a small thing to do but I love the way my room transforms into a cozy space just by adding these few touches.

Once that is over I usually like to get something to eat. Depending on your preferences you could make something yourself if you enjoy cooking or if you are anything like me I usually opt out for takeout. After I finish dinner I usually decide to take a bubble bath because for me taking a bath is a huge stress reliever. Bath bombs are always a plus! I really try to take time and focus on myself while having these types of nights so I will usually go the extra mile in pampering myself, for instance, I 100% recommend putting on a face mask and maybe even a hair mask. After having my face mask on for a while I would wash it off my face and really focus on my skin care. Some types of skin care I would recommend is applying a toner, facial moisturizer, and recently I've been really into using a face oil. For my hair, some products I like to use would be a leave-in conditioner and a hair oil.

When you get done with that I like to get comfortable in my pajamas. At this point, I would head to bed and turn on either a movie or the TV series I am binge watching at the time. I usually like to head to bed early on my self-care night because especially if I had a stressful week just catching up on sleep is always a good idea. While these ideas do not seem like anything out of the ordinary you could really use these ideas to give yourself a little pampering.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
