We all have our bad days. Things that keep piling on each other where we feel like we can't catch a break. One thing after another seems to be going wrong. Days where all we want to do is not talk to anyone and keep our heads hanging low. I think we've all had days like that.
But the difference in people can be seen in their outlook on it. While everyone has bad days, it's those who stay optimistic within the fire that leads to a hopeful tomorrow. I have had my fair share of bad days and I used to let them consume me and feel sorry for myself with all the things going wrong. Then, I came to see Jesus in those moments and all of a sudden, I am thankful for what I am going through.
One evening on my way back home, I got pulled over and the police officer gave me a speeding ticket. Now, I could have been so mad and angry with the guy, but, as weird as it sounds, I was grateful. The policeman told me that there was a lot of deer that run out onto that highway at night and cause a lot of accidents. I thought to myself, "What if this man saved my life by pulling me over and missing a deer ahead?" Though I will never know, I saw that experience as one to be grateful for, even if I did have to pay the ticket because ultimately my life is worth more than a speeding ticket.
When you start to see bad things as ways God could be using it to make you better, life becomes that much more beautiful. I live with so much more hope and am so much more grateful to be living the life I live with an amazing Savior and Creator.
I challenge you when you are having a bad day, think of the ways God could be using this as a lesson, opportunity, or way to open your eyes to how blessed you are. Seeing God in those moments will change your perspective and bad days won't seem so bad anymore.
