Living healthy is important! Many people struggle with eating healthier foods and “diets” the thing is though you don’t need to diet to live healthy. I am going to share with you my secret to living life healthy while being happy at the same time.
Secret one
I know the word diet is misleading and most of the diets that you use tend to never really work out unless you plan on eating that way for the rest of your life. The other downfall of a diet is that it can cost a lot of money that not all of us can afford. If you are able to be careful about the amount of carbs, sugar, calories and sodium you take in on the daily the look of your body will change drastically in a positive way. You can watch all of that without any dietary plan at all. Once you start checking labels and eating smaller proportions of fatty foods and larger proportions of foods that have good source of protein and energy, you are then living healthy without having to change your diet too much. You may not get to eat as many Oreos or potatoes chips you would want to, but trust me you will feel the difference once you cut out the amount of fat you eat.
Secret two
Exercise! You don’t need a gym membership in order to gain muscles and a toned stomach. If you attend a university, chances are they have a free gym supplied for the students, with fun classes like yoga, spin, kickboxing and Zumba. The company you work for sometimes has a gym that is open to their employees as well. If you want to work out within your own home taking a jog, walk or a “wog” (a mix between a walk and jog) is such a great way to strengthen your heart and lungs while toning your legs and stomach. Whatever you chose to do remember it can’t just be a one-time thing you must dedicate yourself to take time out of your week to exercise to see the pleasing results.
Secret Three
Eat proportionally, don’t binge and do not starve yourself! People think going without eating will make you lose weight when in reality it is only making you gain even more weight. When you go all day without eating then come home and eat everything in sight you are actually making it very hard on your body. Don’t just wait until dinner, and then over eat because your body at night will not be able to digest the food it would when you eat and move around throughout your daily routine. Avoid eating out it is OK to treat yourself to your favorite restaurant with friends, family or significant other, but it is not okay to do that every night unless you can be reasonable with the meal that you chose. Also remember restaurants cook with a lot of salt so ask them to hold the salt please!
