Being a second-semester high school senior brings all sorts of emotions to the table: anxiety, excitement, happiness and sadness. You're halfway through the last year with your best friends, but also thaaaaaat much closer to being in college and starting anew. It's a weird time period, but at least we're all going through the transition together.
1. The day second semester starts.
And you realize there's only a few, short months left until graduation.
2. When you check your grades and notice how badly you caught senioritis.
I told myself I wouldn't catch senioritis, but right now, maintaining a C average has never felt more impossible.
3. That moment when your teacher assigns you a research paper.
Really?! I'm in college already!! I'm going to have seven of those next year, I don't need to do one NOW!
4. Every time you have an important assignment that you really don't want to do.
The daily internal debate: to do the assignment, or to get coffee and doughnuts with the friends you won't have in a few months?!
5. The feels you get the day after you get into college.
I've been sitting in this same classroom for 4 whole years; let's do something fun!
6. As your friends receive their move-in dates.
Joke's over guys, you can't leave me.
7. When you're forced to study so you don't fail your class.
Gotta build good study habits for college, right?
8. Feeling like you aced your last finals of high school.
NAILED IT. A+. I'M A FANTASTIC STUDENT.
9. When current college freshman warn you of the Freshman Fifteen.
The people that tell you to avoid fast food and pizza in college are the kind of people you cannot trust.
10. Realizing that you're going to have to say goodbye to your longtime best friends.
Also realizing you're going to be in a brand new place and you have to make all new friends...
11. Knowing you're about to start some of the best years of your life.
College will be amazing. I can just feel it.
