What Your Thanksgiving Food Looks Like As SEC Schools

Missouri is definitely mac n cheese.

The Southeastern Conference. You know it, you love it, and you enjoy every single game that is played from the powerhouse teams. Just like the SEC is an essential part of college football, Thanksgiving is an essential part of the American lifestyle. Here are your favorite Thanksgiving foods, reimagined as SEC football teams

Turkey - Alabama

Just like you can't have Thanksgiving dinner without the turkey, the SEC would be extremely empty without the team we love to hate from Alabama.

Gravy - Auburn

The perfect compliment to their rival, Alabama. Just like you can’t have turkey or mashed potatoes without gravy, the SEC wouldn’t be the same without Auburn.

Ham - LSU

Whether you hate LSU, or you grew up in purple and gold, just like ham, it always ends up at your table on Thanksgiving.

Mashed Potatoes - Arkansas

Just like the hogs, mashed potatoes at Thanksgiving make you say "WOOO" (and also pig sooie for all the Razorbacks)

Cranberry Sauce - Mississippi State

Even though cranberry sauce isn't a widely popular side dish, no Thanksgiving is complete without them, just like Mississippi State.

Green Bean Casserole - Florida

Green like the Gators, and while it usually isn't the favorite side dish at Thanksgiving, it's always a contender, just like Florida is always a contender for the SEC East conference title.

Sweet Potato Casserole - South Carolina

One of the sweeter dishes at Thanksgiving, sweet potato casserole, much like South Carolina, very rarely has mean things to say about the other team.

Corn - Vanderbilt

Easily one of the most forgotten Thanksgiving side dishes, just like Vanderbilt, the school I always forget belongs in the SEC.

Rolls - Texas A&M

Even though rolls aren't what a lot of people think of when they get excited for Thanksgiving, rolls complete the meal, just like A&M completed the SEC in 2012 (Plus, who DOESN'T love rolls, or the Fightin' Texas Aggies).

Stuffing - Tennessee

It seems EVERY school in the SEC wants to beat Tennessee each year, the same way every American can't wait to dig into delicious stuffing.

Pecan Pie - Kentucky

Just the sweetest school you ever did meet... at least until basketball season rolls around.

Pumpkin Pie - Georgia

Dominating the SEC East and Thanksgiving desserts every year.

Cider - Ole Miss

Cider, like Ole Miss, draws love from a special crowd. It also has many different names (just like the University of Mississippi)

Mac & Cheese - Missouri

Sub mac & cheese for any other random side dish your family may consume on Thanksgiving. Just like Missouri, every person has their own opinion on them, much like that one extra side on Thanksgiving.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
