Okay, if there's one thing anybody knows about me, it is that I love Disney & Pixar movies. Disney Pixar has created such an amazing world of magic and movies that has sincerely changed my life. I love it so much. I live just outside of Chicago, Illinois, and here in Chicago is a museum known as the Museum of Science & Industry. Now, I've been going to MSI for years now, and every time I go to the museum, I learn more and more. Whether it be about the human body, or about the weather, my knowledge on various subjects is constantly growing.
The Museum of Science and Industry recently added an exhibit known as "The Science Behind Pixar." When I saw the advertisement for this exhibit, I knew I NEEDED to go. This exhibit takes you on a unique behind the scenes look of how our favorite, timeless movies and beloved characters come to life. Everyone is invited to create and explore the Pixar magic and learn about how movies come together to be shown on the big screen.
When arriving at the museum, many cherished characters hang on posters all around the walls, such as Buzz Lightyear from "Toy Story" and Joy from "Inside Out." Walking in and immediately seeing these characters got me so excited for what I would see in the exhibit. This Pixar exhibit requires an additional $14 per adult fee, but if you're a super fan like me who appreciates every single thing that Pixar does for their movies, it's worth every penny.

"The Science Behind Pixar" is split into two galleries throughout the museum. This was probably meant to deter away from so many crowds at once, which is genius, given the fact that there was a bunch of people getting tickets for this exhibit. I'm telling you, it's so worth it. So when you walk into the first gallery, you watch a five-minute movie explaining how Pixar makes movies, and why they do the things that they do. After that, you're free to roam into the exhibit! An amazing Buzz Lightyear statue greets you right away as you enter the doors, and then not far after that, a Sulley and Mike Wazowski figurine from "Monsters Inc." is there too!

This exhibit was so hands-on, as every station allowed all ages to interact with a simulation. You can watch the advertisement for "The Science Behind Pixar" here! I learned so much, and it really made me appreciate Disney and Pixar that much more. It's amazing what technology is capable of, and how magical it can be as Pixar creators develop characters and movies that are loved for many years to come. It also made me want to re-watch every Pixar movie, and pay extra close attention to all of the detail, work, and effort that goes into such small detail!
You can purchase your tickets, as well as learn more about "The Science Behind Pixar" at the Museum of Science and Industry's website here!
