Imagine the most comfortable tee-shirt you own, an original, hand-drawn beach picture, and a reasonable price available to you all at the same time. Sound too good to be true? Well, James Madison University Junior Eric Ransom, has launched his own clothing line to make this fantasy a reality.

Sandy Cove Apparel was officially launched in the spring of 2016. Originally only offering quality tee-shirts, the company has expanded and now has a full catalog including long-sleeve shirts and hats. Ransom, who is originally from Chantilly, Virginia, is a SMAD Major and a brother of Delta Sigma Phi at JMU. He was inspired to start Sandy Cove Apparel when he became frustrated with other companies' ridiculously high prices for tee-shirts that sported simplistic logos. Knowing that these preppy-casual shirts were well-liked among his friends in college, Ransom knew he had to do something to make looking good more affordable. So, he turned his impressive artwork into wearable masterpieces.

During his freshman year at James Madison, Ransom spent hours in his dorm sketching ideas, and Sandy Cove Apparel remained just a mere dream. As the years went on, Ransom realized he really had something in front of him, and decided to run with it. Beginning as a one-man show, Ransom eventually added web designers and legal consultants to his team to build the website that would become SandyCoveApparel.com. About halfway through 2016, Ransom turned to several of his friends at JMU to join his team and help him with marketing, new ideas and photography. Most recently, a Delta Sigma Phi alumni from Virginia Tech, who now works at a marketing firm in New York City, joined Sandy Cove's team - an addition everyone is excited about. As the company expands, so will the team. In the future, Ransom will be looking for campus reps across the country to bring the Sandy Cove style to every student across the nation.

Sticking to the Sandy Cove theme, the company hopes to bring the surf and beach lifestyle to customers through the designs on each product. While shopping on SandyCoveApparel.com, customers can choose from products called "Ahoy," "Beach Treasures," "Sea Star" and dozens more to bring the Sandy Cove lifestyle to their homes. Perhaps the only thing better than the beachiness of these designs is the fact that Ransom has hand-drawn all 25 of them himself, with years of meticulous work going into perfecting each picture.

But, Sandy Cove isn't just about unique beach drawings on fashionable shirts. Ransom holds many of his personal values very close to the heart of the company. For starters, everything about Sandy Cove Apparel is American-made. Despite the ease and cost of producing overseas, keeping jobs in the country is simply a factor Sandy Cove isn't willing to sacrifice. Another characteristic of Sandy Cove that Ransom will never compromise is the quality and low price of the products. Ransom prides himself on providing his customers with some of the "most comfortable shirts they have ever owned," and sees to it that his products will always be the highest quality at the lowest possible price. These strong values combined with the passion for the beach lifestyle is what drives Sandy Cove to be the company it is.

Ransom and his team at Sandy Cove Apparel encourages everyone to visit the site, find his or her own piece of paradise and of course, to always #CoastThroughLifeComfortably.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
