I Hate Rushing the Seasons, But I Am So Ready for Fall

Every year I walk into your average grocery store, or craft/home decorating store, and they always have things out for the next season. It's June, why not skip a season and get your Christmas tree?

As much as I am against rushing the seasons, believe me I am, I am in such a rush to get to fall this year. I am so tired of summer and I feel like August is creeping by so slowly. It has been nonstop heatwaves, torrential downpours and crabby people.

I feel like this summer has been the worst as far as weather, in my 20 years of life I do not remember the weather in the summer being so chaotic. One minute it can be beautiful, the sun is shining at full force, not a cloud in the sky, birds chirping, then suddenly a giant dark cloud comes and it pours. Then the sun comes back out. Then it pours. You get it.

The weather is moody and I am over it. I want crisp, fall mornings as I walk to class. Where it is cool in the morning to the point where I need a light jacket, but as the day progresses I can take that jacket off and walk around in the leaves and warm sunshine. There is nothing better than fall mornings, and fall sunsets. I crave it.

I am so sick of walking outside and feeling like the heat is going to take my breath away. I know I am not the only one with this point of view lately, because I have seen so many posts on social media about everyone hating summer and being completely over it already. We all just want fall.

Now I know this article is just a rant, but I love fall so much and I just cannot wait for it. Now I do not condone having Christmas decorations out in the beginning of June, and I do love Christmas, but sometimes rushing the seasons feels good. It gives you something to look forward to.

Sometimes a change of season is a whole new beginning for some people, and I know it is for me. In the fall I feel renewed. Summer strained me but also helped me, and now fall is when the earth is now cooling and fun times are ahead. The change of leaves, Halloween, apple picking, pumpkin carving, football games. It all makes rushing the season completely worth it, and I know it does bother people, but sometimes you do have to look at it in a different perspective.

I hope someone can resonate with this article, and that you have itch for fall too. Rushing the seasons might not be a bad thing after all.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
