7 Reasons Why My Roommate Is Way Better Than Your Roommate

In college, sometimes we randomly get stuck with our roommates. The random computer process can either make our life or destroy it. I have been with my roommate for four years, going on five years. We've been through a lot and learned a lot about each other. So here are seven things that I hate about my roommate.

1. You are always around

No matter what we do, you are always around. Either driving me places or going out together, you are always by my side. We have come up with the dumbest things to do but you have always been there.

2. You always agree to do the most random things with me

You are always down for an adventure. No matter the context, you are heading out the door with me on our next adventure. We can be going to the store, for a walk or even to an abandoned building where we might die, no matter what you see the fun in it.

3. You always listen to my problems

I know I can be a pain in the butt but you listen to me. You help me through my stress breakdowns, heartbreaks and can give the best advice!

4. You give me tough love

We've been through a lot together and you have always pushed me in the right direction. Whether with school, boys or jobs, you always make sure that I give it my all and make it to the end.

5. You cheer me on

ou are always cheering me on in everything that I do. You've cheered me on when I played my rugby games, when we both got a job together and when I received new jobs. No matter the occasion, we make it the best.

6. You take care of me when I'm dying

I literally am sick at least once a month but you always make sure that I'm feeling well. You become my own doctor and search up remedies for me to get better. You are basically my mom and have helped me through a lot of sicknesses.

7. You are my best friend

It's crazy to think that we meet in highs school and then decided to be college roommates. You knew that we would have made so many memories and gone on so many adventures. We've made it through thick and thin and there isn't anyone who I would rather have by my side.

Next year would mark five years or half a decade of living with each other. That is crazy to think about. We have bonded and have basically become each other. Whether the bond of pizza or cute baseball players, we have been through it all.

We have come up with some dumb ideas to do and some great ideas. We have spent late nights talking about literally every subject and we've seen each other grow. I confide in you and vice versa. I can't think of anyone else who I would have wanted to spend my college career with. So here's to the future and wherever it might take us!

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
