Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is very much like the quintessential college experience; you get to live with some of your best friends, you have to deal with some pretty crazy professors, and you end up being a part of many misadventures with your friends. College is also some of the most confusing years of your life, as you are just starting to find your niche, you are awkwardly introducing yourself to new people every day, and you are stuck trying to figure out this whole “adulting” thing all on your own. Given that Ron Weasley is one of the most awkward characters in the Harry Potter franchise, it was natural that he would be able to describe what college is really like. Here are 12 times that Ron Weasley perfectly described the thoughts of a college student.

1. When you start sizing up your classmates during Syllabus Week

There are always those ones that worry you as they zealously gush about how they REALLY love koalas during those ice breakers.

2. But then you bomb your introduction and lose your chances of making friends in class.

However, if the people around you are just as awkward you will bond over that experience.

3. When your plans at forming good relationships with your professors go terribly wrong.

At least it's the thought that counts?

4. When you procrastinate and just remember your exam is tomorrow and you didn't study

Yes, Ron; we can panic now.

5. And then you magically ace the test without even studying

When this happens it feels like we must have drunken a bottle of Felix Felicis.

6. When you see anything with the words "free food"

If you are like me, you will stuff your face with any free food you can get as a poor college student.

7. When you go to room draw and hope you don't get into that one dorm

Like how most don't want Slytherin, nobody wants to be in that one building with no elevator.

8. When you get woken up in the middle of the night by some bloke screaming in the halls

Like I know it's "Thirsty Thursday" or whatever, but I don't appreciate your high-pitched squeals at 3 AM when I have an 8 AM class.

9. When that one professor assigns you that extra long paper that doesn't make sense

Why can't you assign us something that won't take all night and then some to finish?

10. When you forget to call home

Your parents will attack you if they don't hear from you at least once a week.

11. When you realize you can take as many naps as you want

Unless you busy with other things of course.

12. When kids in high-school ask you what college is like

You may have some mental breakdowns from time to time, but you wouldn't trade the college life for anything in the world.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
