5 Romantic Dates For This Holiday Season
Stocksnap

'Tis the season of love! Christmastime is a beautiful time of year – some say it's the most wonderful – to spend time with loved ones. Whether you're in a relationship or want to go on an adventure with your friends and family, here are five romantic dates for this holiday season.

1. Ice skating

Yes, I know, it is very cliché. But ice skating is so much fun, especially when someone is there holding your hand when you fall down! You may drag your significant other down with you, but that just adds to the fun.

2. Watch Christmas movies by the fire

Sitting by the fire and cuddling under a fuzzy blanket with a mug of hot chocolate in hand is one of the best feelings in the world. Instead of going out on a Friday night, just stay in and enjoy the simple joys of being with the one you love.

3. Go see "The Nutcracker"

I have never seen "The Nutcracker" before, but it is surely a holiday favorite. This Friday, I am going to see it with my boyfriend and I can't wait. This is an expensive holiday date, but it is truly romantic. Dressing up and going to the ballet is a classy way to spend the holiday.

4. Drive around and look at the Christmas lights

In my town, many people (aka my family) decorate their houses with thousands of strings of lights, blow-up Santa Clauses, and light-up candy canes. There is nothing more charming to see a house lit up with snow falling on the ground. Play some Christmas music, drive around with your significant other, and enjoy the sights of your town!

5. Go to NYC and see the Rockefeller Center tree

Every winter, my family takes the train to NYC to see all of the wonderful decorations and light displays. Our favorite, of course, is the tree at Rockefeller Center. Walking in the city at night with your boyfriend or girlfriend is truly romantic in the wintertime, with the light shows on the sides of the buildings, the ice skating, and Christmas shops set up in Bryant Park.

Enjoy one or all of these romantic dates! I hope your holiday season is merry, bright, and full of love!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
