Rocky Road, Rocky Mountains!

If I were to say, "Name five cities you would like to visit within your lifetime," I'd expect a response sounding somewhat like, "Paris! London! Los Angeles! Barcelona!" I would like you to take a moment to understand the simple but gifted beauties just around the corner waiting to be unearthed. From my personal experience, being an adrift traveler along the rugged roads circling the frosty, evergreen mountains is the indelible experience one will never find on their bucket list.

Take a look at these snapshots showing a few of the many charms lurking in the Rocky Mountains:

The Zermatt hotel is very ordinary looking while driving along the roads, but take a left turn and you will enter a Switzerland-resembling paradise. From the highest floor, you overlook the flesh of diamonds resting on the mountains. Of course, having a White Christmas has it's own majesty.

If I had not left the hotel to help carry luggage, I would have left out this lucky charm located around the back side. The pavilion by the iced stream reminds me much of a miniature Japanese Shinto shrine used for prayer. I recall the ice on the stream being of an Arctic blue shade gleaming occasionally whenever the sun revealed its rays.

After miles and miles of driving, I remember spotting a fair-sized and humble home almost in the middle of no where, yet it reminded of the ideal scene from a Christmas classic. This drive compelled me to twist my perception slightly allowing me to be more attentive to my surroundings and its untouched existence.

Why spend hundreds of dollars on stories already spoken of when you could compose your own? Pack you bags! I want you to meet with the mysterious path calling on you to be ventured on. Hop in the car! I hope that in the coming days you accumulate more and more unexpected journeys that you would never find on that bucket list. Drive away!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
