Making friends in college may be one of the hardest things to do. It is nothing like how it was in high school.
In high school, you did not need to be involved in multiple clubs to get to know people that could be potential friends. In college, I had to be involved with three clubs on campus to be able to find friends that I felt comfortable around, but I did find them and you will too.
There are 6 specific types of people that you need to be friends with.
1. The Involved Friend.
This friend is the one who gets YOU involved too, which is how you meet other people to be friends with.
2. The Friend Who Makes Quizlets.
They are usually the smart ones, and they will help you get good grades too.
3. The Go-Getter Friend.
You always need a friend who has goals, and nothing is going to stop them.
4. The Younger Friend.
Being friends with people younger than you (but are still in college), helps you work on being a "role model."
5. The High School Friend.
I know people like to disconnect from their high school peers, but keeping one or two relationships with people from high school is very important.
6. The Opposite One.
You need a friend who has a completely opposite personality than you, and speaking from experience, it helps you a lot!
