I've been a Taylor Swift fan since day one. I remember being in 5th grade and swimming in the pool with my gal pal while singing along to 'Teardrops on My Guitar.' We daydreamed about the girl who couldn't drive that damn pickup truck. We anxiously waited until we turned 15 to serenade each other with Taylor Swift's heartfelt lyrics.

We anxiously awaited to find love all while hoping to avoid the pain that Taylor Swift went through.

Over the years, her albums have slowly transitioned from being country to being pop. Her last album, 1989, was her first all pop album, and Reputation is the same way. Reputation is even experimenting with rapping and other different techniques.

To the people who claim to be Taylor Swift fans since day one who are shaming her new music — shame on you, dude.

She is not betraying her roots.

She is not a wannabe.

She is not giving into peer pressure.

She is not in the wrong.

Taylor Swift is not a stationary thing.

She's allowed to flourish and grow and change.

She is not betraying her roots. Her job, her actual occupation, is to make music.

Would you shame a doctor for using a new technique, such as using a surgical laser to cut, instead of a scalpel? No? Then why shame a musical artist for trying different techniques?

Taylor Swift had grown up and is tired of people dissing her and, quite frankly, I think she's trying to make a statement that she simply doesn't care anymore. She doesn't care what people think or about the drama floating around.

Her subject and motivation are basically still the same -- a lot of the times, she is singing about those who have done her wrong.

So, without further ado, here is the lineup for Reputation:

1. ...Ready For It?

This song is not the one I would have chosen to be the first song on the album. The attempt at rapping just feels weird, but it grew on me over time and now I have this song stuck in my head over time. Personally, I just think this song was made to primarily show that she is versatile and can sing whatever style she wants to.

2. End Game (feat. Ed Sheeran & Future)

This song is edgy, but in a good way. She doesn’t want to cause pain, but she also isn’t going to take others treating her badly anymore. Also, the fact that Ed Sheeran is featured in the song and she alludes to his song “The A-Team” is pretty neat, in my opinion.

3. I Did Something Bad

This song is trippy, solely based on the beat in the background. She’s just totally trying to get out of being the stereotypical “good girl” in Hollywood, and that isn’t a bad thing. She’s grown older and flourished, she shouldn’t need to be see the same way she was back when she had curly blonde locks and wore cowgirl boots.

4. Don’t Blame Me

This song is my personal favorite on this album (I’ve been listening to it on repeat). It’s jazzy and bluesy and just all around wonderful. Taylor Swift is addicted to love and, when she loves, she loves hard. Is that such a crime?

5. Delicate

This song has a 1989 sound mixed with autotune, to me. She’s finding out who is really on her side after all of the drama and rumors have floated around about her. Also, it seems like she wants to feel free to speak her mind without being judged, which is respectable and understandable.

6. Look What You Made Me Do

This song is obviously a shoutout and a flick-off to all of her haters out there. As the first single from this album, it was what everyone judged Reputation off of. While I think it is a really good song, I don’t think it reflects the musical tone of the rest of the album.

7. So It Goes…

This song is sexy. I really like the chorus, it’s something I can just sing in the shower to. It’s another song showing how she’s grown up and she’s no longer 16. She is a 27-year-old woman who is into love and is into doing sexy things with the guys that she likes.

8. Gorgeous

This song is a little bit weird in my opinion. Not the lyrics, just the overall music behind the lyrics. Personally, I think the lyrics are relatable. She has a boyfriend, but she still admires other guys and just how attractive they are. It’s not a bad thing; it is simply human nature. She’s a normal girl.

9. Getaway Car

This song also has a 1989 vibe to me, especially starting at the pre-chorus and continuing into the chorus. It’s describing problems that young girls and guys often have in relationships -- do you stay in a relationship that you’re no longer 100% committed to, or do you break away and try something new and different? Even though you will hurt someone you love?

10. King of My Heart

This song is clearly about her boyfriend, Joe Alwyn (come on, she calls herself his “American Queen”). She wanted to keep her relationship under cover from the public and the media. Not because she is ashamed to be seen with him or anything like that, but because she doesn’t want any outside drama to impede here seemingly perfect relationship.

11. Dancing With Our Hands Tied

This song has been described as “tragically beautiful,” and I definitely agree. I think it is talking about Calvin Harris, since she was 25 years old when they began dating. I say it is beautifully tragic because she sounds like she is so in love, but deep down knows that it won’t work out. Is that because of the paparazzi and attention or because they’re simply not compatible enough? That I do not know.

12. Dress

This song is sexy. When I said “So It Goes…” was sexy, this is even sexier. Apparently, when she debuted it at the Secret Sessions, her mom left the room because it was too much for her (just TMI for Momma Swift). In the chorus, she says she doesn’t want him as a friend, no. She wants a lover.

13. This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things

This song is another call out to the haters, specifically it is about Kanye West. It talks about second chances being ruined and even mentions the fact that he lost another friend (potentially talking about JAY-Z apparently). In addition to that, it is hilarious when she cackles at the idea of forgiveness in the song.

14. Call It What You Want

This was a lot of fans’ favorite single that dropped. It’s a love song, but with a different tune, which is nice and refreshing. She’s head-over-heals in love, it’s cute. I really like the lyric, “he built a fire just to keep me warm.”

15. New Year’s Day

This is definitely my second favorite song on the album. It is arguably the calmest song on the album, music wise — a soft piano ballad. It sounds like she feels like she is about to lose someone, whether it be a friend or a lover. But she is broken and distraught over it; she’s still holding on.

So there you have it, folks. Another amazing, fantabulous, meaningful, and beautiful album by Taylor Swift.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
