All racism is bad, but being racist in defense of others being racist doesn’t help end racism.

To kick things off, this article will trigger a lot of people, but this has been bothering me for much too long. This topic is a very tough one to talk about, especially if you’re White. White people are frowned upon for talking about racism because we are all considered “entitled.” Apparently, we are all on some sort of pedestal that means our opinions are invalid or skewed. I feel like it’s an important topic to talk about regardless of race, but unfortunately, it seems like every subject now involves race.

A lot of what I’ve been seeing in society is the constant disrespect and the actions of reverse racism towards White people. The mistakes and stupidity of a FEW White people, don't warrant reverse racism. The point I’m trying to make is, we are all not these crazy racists who can’t grasp what it’s like to be another color, so we shouldn’t be discriminated against for being White.

All racism is bad, but being racist in defense of others being racist doesn’t help end racism.

While White people can’t physically experience what other races are experiencing, we can see situations and understand them, we are all human beings.

In regards to politics, I am moderately left. I can see the injustices that all races face, specifically those situations for African Americans. I just so happen to be white and would consider myself not racist. I consistently agree, and understand, that there is still racism in this country.

I won’t be ignorant and claim that racism doesn’t exist because it’s clear that it does. Police brutality is directed heavily towards African Americans. The President of the United States was elected by people that agree with some of his racist agendas. The KKK and the alt-right are gaining ground every day and it frustrates the hell out of me. Judgment based on the color of someone’s skin is a horrible idea, and it shouldn’t happen.

While most of us know that racism is a thing, nobody ever talks about reverse racism.

Many people may be too ignorant to agree that reverse racism exists, but it does, and goes wrongfully unnoticed. According to Oxford Dictionary, the definition of reverse racism is, “Prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism on the basis of race directed against a member of a dominant or privileged racial group.”

How many people read this and assumed that I was an entitled white boy that shouldn’t write an article about race because I am privileged. If you thought that, congratulations you are racist! While there are definitely bigger battles to fight on the field of racism, I am tired of seeing reverse racism happening towards white people too. I go on social media all the time and see reverse racism.

Comments like these are too common and are agreed on too much. Not everyone thinks like this, but if you do, you are part of the problem. While there are some White people that are racist sacks of shit, why must we all be pinned as "horrible?" I have done nothing in this life to be associated with racist White people.

I can’t grasp the idea of being racist towards all White people because some White people are racist. Not only does it not help the cause of racism, it divides this country even more than it is already. We are all human beings. When we all die, all of our bodies rot, we are all the same and the only difference is the color of our skin.

We don’t get to choose what race we are, and it’s wrong to hate someone based off of someone’s skin.

For the people of color that fight against racism, but turn directly towards White people and make discriminatory comments, you are only making things worse. Peacefully protest and let’s all work together to end the unfairness in this country.

This article was written to give some attention to the subject. Ending the discrimination towards other races is very important but we should not be the exception. We are all in this together so let’s act like it together.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
