10 Ways You Can FINALLY Accomplish Your 'Save Money' Resolution In 2020

I am getting married in a year and a few months!! How exciting is that? However, weddings and honeymoons are expensive! So, this next year will be a time of saving! My 2020 resolution is to save up as much as I can! New year, new wallet! That's how the saying goes, right?

1. Don't get rid of your change

If you save it, you'll be surprised how many groceries it can pay for!

2. Get your thrift on!

Thrifting is good for you wallet and the environment! It's also fun!

3. Have a no spend week once a month!

Don't go out of buy anything new for a whole week. It sounds harder than it really is!

4. Have date nights at home instead of going out!

They don't have to be watching that movie you've seen 97 times. Mix it up! Cook a fun dinner, play a new game, or take on a project together!

5. When you do go out have some inexpensive date nights!

Dates don't have to break the bank — here's a list of inexpensive options!

6. Freeze your leftovers, don't throw them away

If you've cooked a big meal and can't eat it all, freeze the leftovers! Then you have a meal for another night!

7. Learn a new skill

Learn how to cut your own hair, knit, or do your own nails! That's one less thing you'll have to pay for.

9. Cook at home more! Learn a copy cat recipe for your favorite fast food meal!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots.
