Writing letters is a great way to reveal your thoughts and emotions to another person. It has also been known to be a very “romantic” and delightful way of expressing our innermost feelings if it is difficult to speak them. Writing intricately crafted letters is a conventional art of dialogue delivery as well as conveying rare words of wisdom. The underlying content covered in letters is rather more intimate than a casual text message or email making it even more illustriously sublime to read and decipher.
Gone are the days when neatly handwritten letters were the most prominent mode of communication. Nowadays, modern and innovative technology has totally consumed the angelic aura of writing letters and sending them. I wonder when the pure essence of writing letters as a way to transport valuable messages will ever be revived.
In fact, letter writing is the most poignant and sincere manner in which unsaid words can be transported with full elegance and grace. A simple text message or email does not harbor the tenacity to strike chords within the heart and mind. In other words, writing letters is a poetic way of embracing the pulchritudinous abode of life which cannot be experienced any other way.
Furthermore, letters are precious possessions that a person can cherish forever and preserve for longer periods of time. There have been many times when I have read letters sent out to me from friends, teachers, professors, colleagues, and family countless times. There is a uniquely savored joy in reading a plethora of letters from the special people who govern our lives!
Those letters highlight the willingness to further explore oneself and learn more about the people who make up the world we live in. Thus, the sweetness and bittersweetness of some letters further instigate us to rediscover ourselves and apply an entirely different range of perceptions to better understand the world.
